'Thank you Banksy for saving Bristol boys' club'

Boys' club owner Dennis Stinchcombe has said "thank you Banksy" after an artwork that was painted on a wall outside his cash-strapped youth club was sold to a private collector for £403,000.

Broad Plain Boys' Club in Bristol sold the work, which appeared in a doorway in April and sparked an ownership dispute with the council.

Banksy then wrote to the club saying it was theirs. Mr Stinchcombe, speaking to Jon Kay, said it was a "fantastic gesture and a lifeline".
