David Haines: Charity 'appalled' by IS killing of worker
The French aid group that David Haines was working with when he was kidnapped in Syria last year has condemned his killing by Islamic State militants.
Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development (ACTED) spokesman Byron Pacula said:"ACTED is deeply appalled and horrified by the assassination of David Haines."
At the time of his kidnapping, Mr Haines was a new member of the ACTED team, but Mr Pacula said was experienced in working for humanitarian organisations in conflict areas and highly tense areas.
