Islamic State militant threat: Cabinet backs air strikes

The Cabinet has given its backing to a UK military operation against Islamic State militants in Iraq.

Number 10 said UK forces could join the bombing of targets in Iraq after the Iraqi minister of foreign affairs wrote to the UN seeking international assistance.
