Alan Henning murder: Tributes and services in Eccles

Prayers have been said in churches across Manchester, for the murdered British hostage Alan Henning.

The 47-year-old taxi driver from Salford was captured by Islamic State extremists in Syria in December while delivering aid as a volunteer.

The Bishop of Manchester David Walker, said Mr Henning had died a martyr.
