Widower describes 'despair' of being 93 and lonely
A 93-year-old from Hampshire has described the the "despair" and loneliness he has suffered since losing his wife three years ago.
Bob Lowe, who was married to his wife for 65 years, lives very far from other family members.
He told BBC Radio 5 live's Breakfast: "I do cry quite a lot of despair because... you fear you're going to be ill, fear you're going to fall."
It comes after a report by the The International Longevity Centre suggested an increasing number of men were facing loneliness and isolation in their old age.
