Ebola nurse William Pooley's parents support return to Africa

The parents of William Pooley, the British nurse who contracted Ebola while volunteering in West Africa, say they support his return to Sierra Leone to resume his work.

Having recovered from Ebola, Mr Pooley began work at a hospital in the Sierra Leonean capital, Freetown, on Monday.

His parents Jackie and Robin Pooley explained they "knew from the start that he would go back".

First broadcast on the Today programme on Tuesday 21 October 2014.
