Police 'failed Sheffield child abuse victims'
Hundreds of children in Sheffield who were at risk of sexual abuse were let down by police, according to a whistleblower who has been speaking to the BBC.
Ann Lucas, who ran the city's Sexual Exploitation Service until 2012, said she regularly told senior officers about alleged abusers and they repeatedly failed to act.
The force in question, South Yorkshire Police, already faces an investigation over its role in the child abuse scandal in Rotherham. It says today's allegations will be investigated.
