Bus firm appeals against wheelchair legal decision

Appeal court judges are hearing a case to confirm whether disabled passengers have priority access to disabled bays on buses.

The case concerns an appeal by the First Bus Group against a decision that their "first come first served" policy for disabled bays was discriminatory and in breach of the Equality Act 2010.

The case is being brought by wheelchair user Doug Paulley who was denied access to a bus after a woman with a buggy refused to move from the wheelchair bay.

The BBC's disability affairs correspondent Nikki Fox reports.
