Southampton house gas blast: Father 'thought it was a dream'

A man whose house was destroyed by a gas explosion while he and his family were inside said he "thought it was a dream at first".

Jay Sabanal and his wife and daughter all escaped with only minor injuries when a gas explosion destroyed their home.

He said the debris "nearly suffocated" him and his first thought was for the welfare of his child.
