Revenge evictions: Charities see rise in tenants seeking help

There has been a sharp rise in the number of people asking for help from Citizens Advice because they feel they have been unfairly evicted from rented accommodation.

Some housing charities are also reporting an increase in what they call "revenge evictions" - where tenants are asked to move out after complaining about something the landlord does not want to fix.

A government bill which would make it illegal to evict tenants who make justifiable complaints is due to have its second reading.
