First Bus wins wheelchair court judgement

The Court of Appeal has ruled that bus firms are not legally required to force parents with buggies to make way for wheelchair users in designated bays.

The case was brought by First Group after it was sued by a disabled passenger, Doug Paulley.

He had been unable to board a bus to Leeds because a woman with a baby buggy refused to move.

Nikki Fox reports.
