Anger at children's party no show bill

A five-year-old boy has been sent a bill for missing a friend's birthday party at a dry ski slope.

Alex Nash, from Cornwall, was invited to the party just before Christmas but spent the day with his grandparents rather than attending.

His schoolfriend's mother, Julie Lawrence, then sent the Nash family an invoice for £15.95.

She said Alex's non-attendance had left her out of pocket, and that his parents had her contact details.

Alex's father Derek told the BBC that he was unhappy the invoice had been placed in his child's bag.
