Churchill anniversary: Relatives at Houses of Parliament

A remembrance service marking the 50th anniversary of Sir Winston Churchill's funeral has taken place at the Houses of Parliament at the start of a day of UK-wide events.

Wreaths were laid at the foot of a statue of the wartime prime minister - and tributes were paid by David Cameron and John Bercow.

Conservative MP Sir Nicholas Soames, Churchill's grandson, was also at the service and shared his memories of the funeral.
