Gary Glitter found guilty of historical child sex offences

Gary Glitter - real name Paul Gadd - has been found guilty of a string of historical sex offences against young girls dating back to the 1970s.

The 70-year-old former glam rock singer was convicted of one count of attempted rape, four counts of indecent assault and one of sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 13.

Gadd, who denied all charges, was acquitted of three other counts.
