'Syria-bound' girls: Amira Abase's father 'suspected nothing'

The father of one of three teenage girls, believed to have fled to Syria to join Islamic State, has said he had no idea that his daughter was planning to leave the UK.

Police are trying to trace Kadiza Sultana, 16, and Shamima Begum and Amira Abase, both 15, who flew to Istanbul from Gatwick airport on Tuesday.

Amira's father, Abase Hussen, said there was nothing unusual about his daughter's behaviour when he last saw her.
