Hatton Garden jewels heist 'a cleverly masterminded crime'

Detectives from Scotland Yard are hunting thieves who raided a safety deposit vault in London's jewellery district.

The break-in happened over the Easter weekend at the Hatton Garden Safe Deposit company.

As many as 70 deposit boxes were opened, police have said.

James Riley, who represents Britain's gem industry, told the BBC's Elizabeth Glinka that it was a ''highly organised and very cleverly masterminded crime''.
