Mother: 'Why I abducted my son and moved to India'

With the number of British children abducted by their parents and taken abroad rising, one woman has explained why she took her son, without her husband's permission.

Ami told the BBC's Divya Talwar that she had felt isolated within her marriage, that she was in "very bad shape, emotionally [and] psychologically" and that no-one around her was able to help her.

But despite taking her young son to India, she said her husband was still controlling her and and her son's lives from the UK and that she lives "in constant fear as to what's going to happen next."
