VE Day sisters with a secret

Friday marks the 70th anniversary of the end of World War Two in Europe - Victory in Europe, or VE Day.

The news of peace after six years of fighting was greeted with street parties and a royal appearance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

Among the crowds was a young woman who had spent the war translating German radio signals for the Royal Navy. At the same time her sister was in the army relaying messages to special forces in Europe.

John Maguire reports.
