Corfu deaths mother: 'Time to look to the future'

The parents of two children who died while on holiday in Corfu have given a news conference after meeting the chief executive of Thomas Cook.

Christi and Bobby Shepherd were poisoned by carbon monoxide at the Louis Corcyra Beach Hotel in 2006.

Earlier, Peter Fankhauser spoke privately with the children's parents Neil Shepherd and Sharon Wood and said he was "grateful" the family met him.

He made a public apology on Wednesday and admitted the firm "could have done better in the past nine years" in the way they responded to the tragedy.

Neil Shepherd said Thomas Cook had agreed to make charitable donations in memory of the two children.

Their mother said she wanted to the building where the children died to be demolished and turned into a playground.
