Bradford families: Smuggler 'got group to Syria'

Three Bradford sisters and nine children missing from the UK have crossed the Turkish border into Syria, a smuggler has told the BBC.

An Islamic State smuggler in charge of some of the group's border operations told the BBC's Paul Wood that the family were split into two groups to cross into Syria.

Speaking on the BBC's Victoria Derbyshire programme, our correspondent told Joanna Gosling the first group went early on Wednesday and the second on Thursday.

"It absolutely is a one-way ticket, they will not be able to leave," he said.
