Margate's Dreamland opens to the public

A funfair that formed the centrepiece of seaside days out for generations of day-trippers has reopened after an £18m restoration.

Dreamland in Margate was built in the 1920s and was a popular attraction, but cheap foreign holidays caused it to close down.

The site on the seafront has been closed for 10 years, with campaigners fighting to save it from development.
