Keith Vaz: 'Once migrants reach Calais it's too late'

A strike has forced the suspension of services through the Channel Tunnel between the UK and France, as hundreds of migrants try to board UK-bound lorries amid the chaos.

The Chairman of the Home Affairs Select Committee, Keith Vaz, told the BBC the "chaotic and terrible scenes" in Calais highlighted the failures of the government and the EU to tackle the migrant crisis in Europe.
