Charities accused of pursuing vulnerable for funds

Four charities are facing "serious allegations" of pursuing vulnerable people to make money, according to a Daily Mail investigation.

It claims the NSPCC, the British Red Cross, Oxfam and Macmillan Cancer Support are contacting people who have opted-out of receiving unsolicited calls.

Some of these people apparently include those suffering with dementia and memory problems.

The charities say they are taking the allegations seriously and investigating.

Simon Gompertz reports.
