UK pilots involved in strikes against IS in Syria

UK military pilots have been carrying out airstrikes over Syria, despite a House of Commons vote against military action there.

Following a Freedom of Information request, the government has confirmed up to 20 UK armed forces personnel are embedded with other nations including the US and Canada.

They have been authorised to take part in military operations against the so-called Islamic State group.
