Defence review: 'Spend on more on drones and SAS' - David Cameron

Defence chiefs should spend more money on the UK's special forces and armed aerial drones to combat the threat of Islamic State (IS) extremists, the prime minister has said.

David Cameron asked for the shift in spending priorities as part of the strategic defence and security review, which is due to conclude by the end of the year.

Mr Cameron wants the review to prioritise resources that will help to protect the UK from evolving threats.
