Former Tory MP Harvey Proctor: 'I'm not a murderer or a paedophile'

Former Conservative MP Harvey Proctor has held a news conference to state that he is ''completely innocent'' of all allegations of child murder and the sexual abuse of children.

Mr Proctor was interviewed under caution on Monday by Metropolitan Police officers working on Operation Midland, the inquiry launched following historical allegations of a VIP paedophile ring.

He denies all the claims and has not been charged with any offence.

"I'm completely innocent of all these allegations. I'm a homosexual. I'm not a murderer or a paedophile,'' he told a news conference.
