Theresa May: Free EU movement 'for those with jobs'

Home Secretary Theresa May has blamed Europe's borderless system for exacerbating the migrant crisis.

She added EU free movement should mean the "freedom to move to a job" - not to look for work or benefits.

Writing in The Sunday Times, she said the most tragic consequences of the system were being borne by those at risk of exploitation.

Her comments come as figures last week showed net migration to the UK was more than three times higher than the government's target.
