The Queen delights well-wishers in Newtongrange

The Queen and Prince Philip stopped off in Newtongrange station on the day she becomes Britain's longest reigning monarch.

Well-wishers greeted her with flowers and cheers.

She unveiled a plaque before boarding the train to continue her journey on the new Borders Railway.
