Flypast marks Battle of Britain 75th anniversary

A flypast involving Spitfires and Hurricanes has taken place to mark 75 years since the decisive encounter of the Battle of Britain.

A service was also held in London's St Paul's Cathedral to commemorate the anniversary.

In the fight the RAF broke up two Luftwaffe raids on London to turn the tide in the Allies' favour.

Spitfires and Hurricanes were among 40 vintage aircraft flying in formation from Goodwood in West Sussex.

Robert Hall reports.
