Woman given life term for child sex abuse

A woman at the centre of a paedophile ring has been sentenced to life imprisonment for offences relating to five young children over a 10-year period.

The judge said 34-year-old Marie Black from Norwich had inflicted sexual abuse of the worst and most harrowing kind it had been his misfortune to try.

She was sentenced to 24 years, thought to be the longest sentence ever handed down to a female sex abuser.

Sian Lloyd reports.
