Merseyside police officer killed trying to stop stolen vehicle

A Merseyside police officer has died after being struck by a stolen vehicle during a pursuit in Wallasey.

The officer had been trying to stop the red Mitsubishi pick-up vehicle when he was hit.

A murder investigation has been launched.
