Phone fraud victim: 'I thought I was sensible'
Pat Bottomley was a victim of a phone scam.
A caller, claiming to be a policeman in London, told her that her son had been arrested and had provided information on a gang of criminals.
Despite her initial misgivings, she was convinced to transfer two payments of £4,500 and one payment of £800, which the scammer told her would help police arrest their suspect.
She says the scam has left her feeling "stupid" and "terrified of the phone".
