UK Housing: The perils of HMOs for low-income Britain

A growing number of people in the UK now live in shared housing, known as HMOs, Houses in Multiple Occupation, where properties are split into individual rooms.

There is concern that many tenants, often those on the lowest incomes, are living in poor conditions.
