Young adult offender: 'Crime is all I've known'

A rehabilitation programme, run by police volunteers at Brixton Metropolitan Police in south London, is aiming to help offenders aged between 18 and 25.

The scheme - known as Divert - works by approaching offenders while in custody in the hope of guiding them into training or employment.

One of its participants, 25-year-old Danny, told the Victoria Derbyshire programme's Ashley John-Baptiste that crime "is all I've known". He has been arrested more than 50 times and has 18 convictions.
