UK floods: What is the best way to do a fireman’s lift?

People left stranded by the floods in Cumbria and Lancashire over the past few days have been carried to safety by firemen and rescue workers.

Pictures show people being rescued from floods in different ways - over the shoulder, cradled, or carried in a sitting position by two firemen.

Two firemen from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service showed the BBC's Beccy Meehan the best way to carry someone to safety.
