Kellingley Colliery closure: End of deep coal mining in UK

Production at Britain's last deep coal mine has ended, bringing an end to centuries of deep coal mining in Britain.

Miners at Kellingley Colliery in Yorkshire completed their final shifts on Friday.

UK Coal, which owns the mine, blames competition from cheap coal imports.
