Alcohol guidelines: Do you drink more than you think?

The link between alcohol and diseases like cancer mean there is no safe limit to alcohol consumption, according to tough new guidelines from the UK's chief medical officer.

The limit for what men are advised to drink is now the same as that for women - 14 units of alcohol per week - around seven pints of beer or glasses of wine.

Women who are pregnant are being told they should avoid alcohol altogether.
