Visiting a women-only mosque in China

Michael Wood visits a women-only mosque in China, which has a female imam - a Chinese tradition, which originated in the Qing dynasty.

There are 16 women-only mosques in the city of Kaifeng, and dozens more in the countryside around.

In the past the mosques provided women with a basic education, when there were no other schools for girls from poor families. They still play an educational role.
