Speeding driver: I was caught doing 103 miles per hour

More than 2,000 drivers were caught doing over 100 miles an hour on the UK’s roads last year.

The figures come from a Freedom of Information request to all 45 police forces in the UK by BBC Radio 5 live - 42 of them responded.

Richard from south-west England was caught doing 103 miles per hour.

He told 5 live Breakfast he had self-inflicted pressure on him to get “someone to the airport on time”.
