Marathon runner on reunion with missing dog, Gobi

A marathon runner who formed an unlikely friendship with a dog whilst running at 250km race across China has been reunited with her.

Runner Dion Leonard decided to adopt Gobi and bring her back to the UK - but she went missing while being prepared for quarantine.

Fortunately, given their story had gone viral on the internet, Gobi was spotted and they were reunited.

Leonard told BBC Radio 5 live's Phil Williams it was “love again at immediate sight”.
