Young adult offenders need more support, say MPs
Someone who commits a crime between the ages of 18 and 25 should not be treated as an adult by the criminal justice system, a group of MPs have said.
The Justice Committee says that because their brains are still changing young adults can be more likely to commit a crime, and need to be treated differently from other offenders.
The BBC's Victoria Derbyshire programme explored this issue and met a young adult offender called Mario. This is his story.
