Covid-19: PM says 'huge sums' are being invested to help local authorities

Manchester will enter the third tier of Covid-19 restrictions, making it a "very high risk" area. Tighter rules will see non-essential bars, pubs and clubs close.

Local politicians are concerned about the economic effect this will have on Greater Manchester. The Boris Johnson says the £22 million he has promised is in addition to other funding - but wouldn't confirm how much is available.
