Cladding scandal: Jenrick announces no-cost plan for leaseholders
An extra £3.5bn has been promised by the UK government to remove unsafe cladding from high-rise buildings over 18m high, or six storeys in England.
In an "exceptional intervention", Housing Secretary Robert Jenrick said the government was taking a "safety- led approach" and aimed to "end the cladding scandal in a way that is fair and generous to leaseholders".
