First ‘red list’ travellers check-in to quarantine hotels

British and Irish citizens and UK residents arriving to England from 'red list' countries have begun to self-isolate in hotels.

Wiehann Meyer travelled from Johannesburg to the UK for a new job and has just begun his 10-day hotel quarantine alongside a friend, with whom he has been able to split the £1,750 cost.
