Major: I hope it's possible to mend any rifts
The former prime minister, Sir John Major, says Prince Philip's funeral is an ideal time to end friction between members of the Royal Family.
He told the BBC's Andrew Marr that he hoped any rifts could be mended.
Sir John was appointed as guardian to Princes William and Harry after the death of their mother, Diana, in 1997.
