Afghanistan: Tears and applause as UK appeal helps refugees

Communities across the UK have been collecting essential items for people fleeing to the UK from the Taliban's takeover of Afghanistan.

One appeal for clothes and toiletries for more than 100 newly-arrived refugees resulted in a lorry-load of donations in 48 hours.
