Andrew Bailey: Bank of England 'will not hesitate to raise rates' to meet inflation target
The Bank of England's governor Andrew Bailey said the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC), which decides the UK interest rate, will respond to the government's full economic plan when it is published on 31 October.
Speaking in Washington, Mr Bailey said inflationary pressures may require "a stronger response" than originally forecast a couple of months ago.
