Can Lansley win back nurses' support over NHS reforms?

The Health Secretary Andrew Lansley has apologised after Britain's biggest nursing organisation delivered a resounding vote of no confidence in his handling of National Health Service reforms.

Speaking to an audience of 65 nurses at the Royal College of Nursing conference in Liverpool, Mr Lansley said sorry for failing to communicate his ideas properly. He said he had to show that nurses could trust him, and that he shared their objectives.

Labour has called on the coalition government to scrap its NHS plans.
