Campbell's King's Lynn soup tower demolished

The Campbell's soup tower in King's Lynn, Norfolk, was blown up on Sunday by a controlled explosion.

The detonation was triggered by Sarah Griffiths, 41, whose father died from severe scalding while working in the former factory.

The mother-of-two from Clenchwarton, near King's Lynn, said: "It's a big thing for me to do and I feel very pleased to be given the chance of closure."

The tower has been a landmark on the Lynn skyline for more than 50 years. It has been demolished to make way for a new £40m development.
