Timelapse of Crossrail demolition of bridges

Three bridges have been demolished in preparation for the arrival of new electric Crossrail trains.

Starting in 2018, Crossrail will link Maidenhead, Berkshire, in the west to Shenfield, Essex, and Abbey Wood, south-east London, in the east.

Two bridges in Slough, Berkshire, and one in Hillingdon, west London, were demolished over Christmas.

A new bridge has also been built in Hillingdon in place of the existing Horton Bridge which will be removed at Easter.

Timelapse footage of the work has been released by Network Rail.
